FAQ
Common questions
A few things people often ask before reaching out.
How do I know if you are the right psychologist for me?
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is natural to wonder whether you have found the right person to support you. Our free 45-minute first meeting is a chance to get to know each other, talk through what is on your mind, and get a first sense of what it would be like to work together. It is important that you feel at ease, that you are listened to with care, and that there is a safe space where you can speak openly so a trusting relationship can develop — a relationship that is a core part of the therapeutic process.
How long does each session last?
The free introductory consultation you book online lasts 45 minutes. Ongoing therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes.
How often will we meet?
Sessions usually take place once a week. The frequency can be adjusted depending on your needs, goals, and circumstances.
How do online sessions work?
Sessions take place over a secure video call platform. Before your appointment you will receive all the information you need to connect.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed during therapy stays strictly confidential. The only exceptions are those required by the professional code of ethics and relate to safety concerns for you or for others.
What happens in the first session?
Your free 45-minute introductory session is mainly an assessment and a chance to explore what brings you to therapy. We talk about the reasons you sought support, your background, and the difficulties you are facing at this time. I also explain how I work, and we begin to shape the therapeutic goals that will guide our work together.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
The length of therapy varies from person to person and depends on your goals, needs, and the nature of the difficulties you are facing. At regular intervals we review progress together and decide on the next steps in the work.
Can we meet in Greek or English?
Yes. Sessions can be held in either Greek or English, depending on the language you feel most comfortable expressing yourself in.
What issues can I come to you with?
I support adults who are facing difficulties such as anxiety, stress, low mood, panic attacks, excessive worry, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, issues around self-confidence and personal growth, and other emotional or psychological challenges of everyday life.
